My Story and Purpose

Early on I had the good fortune to live in Madrid for a couple of years. I've explored extensively throughout Spain, Western Europe, the Americas and North Africa. My deep connection to Spain is reflected in many of my posts, but my travels go far beyond Iberia. I write about places I’ve visited, places I plan to explore, and practical travel insights—whether it’s uncovering hidden gems, refining logistics, or helping fellow travelers navigate unfamiliar destinations.

I've studied Spanish, French, some Italian, German and Portuguese, and familiarized myself with some of the lesser known dialects in Spain. Language isn't just about communicating—it’s about connecting, understanding, and shaping perspective. It carries culture, emotion, and identity, allowing people to share their experiences, express creativity, and build relationships. Whether spoken, written, or visual, language is the bridge that turns ideas into shared meaning and transforms information into human experience.

For places I’m planning to visit, I may share what I’m excited to see and why, but I don’t typically publish detailed itineraries—travel is personal, and plans evolve along the way.
